Bozeman International Airport Breaks All Time Passenger Record

In 2022, Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) set a new all-time passenger record with over 2.26 million passengers traveling through Montana’s busiest airport. This marks a significant increase in traffic and solidifies BZN’s position as a major hub for air travel in the state.

Last year, more than 40% of air travelers to and from Montana passed through the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN). This exceptional growth in traffic has created significant economic opportunities for the southwest Montana region, according to BZN Chief Executive Officer Brian Sprenger. As a part of the $9.3 million dollar expansion, and in addition to the new terminal added, the arrival section of the airport now holds 45-50 vehicles, an increase from 12.

In terms of passenger traffic, BZN is ranked as the 7th busiest airport in the Northwest Region, which includes the states of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. On a national scale, it is the 92nd busiest airport in the United States.

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) is proud to offer non-stop flights to 22 U.S. markets and global connections through its partnerships with 8 major airlines. Passenger totals in and out by airline brand in 2022 are listed below:
